Rachael Thorleifson | HERO ZERO
2015 | vinyl on acrylic | 18 x 18 in
Bold graphic letters made with metallic silver vinyl “drip” against a backgrop of white acrylic. Characteristically attentive to material, Thorleifson’s use of text, bold graphic style and industrial materials visually compliments the textual message in HERO ZERO. Often concerned with subjective experience and emotion, HERO ZERO presents a common, dichotomous of internal struggle.
Rachael Thorleifson is a Winnipeg based interdisciplinary artist whose practice often uses painting, sculpture, and installation as a means of exploring subjective understanding and emotion.
